1980 Winter Paralympics
The second Winter Paralympics were held in the Norwegian town of Geilo from 1 to 7 February 1980. The Paralympics is the Olympics for people with physical disabilities. About 350 athletes from 18 nations took part in the competitions.
Participating nations
Belgium and Poland did not participate in the second Winter Paralympics. For Australia, Denmark, Italy, New Zealand, it was the first Winter Paralympics. Overall, therefore, two nation took part more than the first Winter Paralympics.
