1981–82 in English football

The Football League First Division 1981/82 was the 83rd season of the Football League First Division as the highest English football league. It began on August 29, 1981 and ended on 21 May 1982. FC Liverpool won with four points behind Ipswich Town before his now 13 Championship. All three newly promoted Swansea City, West Ham United and Notts County could get the class; instead had to Leeds United, take the passage in the Second Division Wolverhampton Wanderers and Middlesbrough FC. These three teams should be in the following season replaced by the three second division team FC Watford, Norwich City and Luton Town.

A total of 487 players were used, with Liverpool the least and West Bromwich Albion with 28 mustered 16 most players in league games. 113 newcomers were offset by 106 footballers who most recently came into play in the season 1981/82.

In the following list, all players were listed that came during the 1981/82 season for Liverpool in a league game for use. It must be noted that in most cases a minimum number of games will be provided in English football to accept the official champion medal allowed. As regards the specific arrangements prior to the introduction of the Premier League, there is lack of clarity, all the players with an asterisk (*) have been provided which have received no champion medal presumably because of their small contribution. In brackets the number of bets as well as the goals achieved are called.
