1981–82 Nationalliga A season

The 1981/82 season was the 44th regular hosting of the National League A, the top Swiss league in hockey. For a total of ninth time in their history, the EHC Arosa was Swiss champion, while the SC Bern and Zurich SC descended into the NLB.

Mode

In a joint main round played each of the eight teams in four games against each group opponent, bringing the total number of matches per team was 28. The top six teams qualified for the final round, in which the Master was played, with half of the items were taken from the main round. The two last placed athlete had to compete for the league in the relegation with the four best teams in the NLB. For a win, each team was given two points, a draw one point. At a loss to give any points.
