World cup
The World Cup took place in a total of twelve U.S. and three Canadian cities. The majority of the venues was located in the U.S. state of Minnesota, where 23 of the 28 games were played. Five games were held in the Canadian provinces of Manitoba and Ontario. Junior World Champion for the first time the team of Canada. The team from Switzerland dismounted and was replaced by newly promoted Norway.
