1983–84 FA Cup

The FA Cup 1983/84 was the 103rd edition of the world's oldest football cup tournament; The Football Association Challenge Cup, or FA Cup shortly. The cup competition ended with the final at Wembley on 19 May 1984. The winner of this discharge was the Everton FC, to have managed this for the fourth time.

The FA Cup is played in rounds. Can participate, each team that has a given level of performance and has an adequate pitch. The game is played i.d.R. with only one leg. When draw a second leg takes place. Still has not decision are stated more replays; until a winning team is determined. Each winner receives a premium from the television money, which is staggered after round. The teams in the top two leagues only take effect in the third round in a competition.

Main rounds

First Main Round

The matches were played on the weekend of November 19 1984. The replays were held between 21 and 28 November.

Second Main Round

The games were mainly held on 10 December 1983. Some games and replays were held until 19 December of 13.

Third main round

The matches of the third main round were played on 8 January 1984. Replays took place on the 10th, 11th and 16th of January. From this round played with the first and second division.

Fourth Main Round

The Games of the fourth round were mainly held on the weekend of 28 and 29 January 1984. Some games and replays between January 30 and February 6 discharged.

Fifth Main Round

The games were held on 17 and 18 February. There were no replays needed.

Sixth Main Round

The games were held on 10 and 11 March 1984. The replay was followed on 13 and 20 March.

Semifinal

The matches were played on 14 April 1984. The first semi-final between Everton and Southampton was played in Arsenal Stadium in Highbury, London. The second semi-final between Watford FC and the third division side Plymouth Argyle took place at Villa Park, Birmingham.
