1983 Alpine Skiing World Cup

The season 1982/1983 the FIS Alpine World Cup, organized by the began on December 5, 1982 in Pontresina (men) and 7 December in Val d'Isere ( women) and ended on 21 March 1983 in Furano. For men, 32 races were held (11 runs, 3 Super- G, Giant Slalom 7, 11 slaloms ). For women, there were 26 races (8 runs, 2 Super -G, Giant Slalom 7, 9 slalom ). These five ratings were combined for men and their four for women. In addition, there was one parallel slalom, but this only counted for the Nations Cup. For the first time ever took place Super -G race, the results included, however, for the giant slalom discipline standings.

This season was an interim year without a world championship or Olympic Winter Games.
