1984–85 Danish 1. division season

The 1984/85 season was the 25th season of the first division, the highest Danish Hockey League. Masters were for the third time in club history the Rødovre IK.

Mode

In the main round each of the 14 teams completed a total of 26 games. The top four teams qualified for the final round, in which the Master was played. The teams ranked 5-8 were playing in another single round, the two participants in the relegation, while for the other teams, the season was over. For a win, each team was given two points, a draw there was a point and a defeat.

Due to the leagues reform in 1985 increased a total of seven teams in the second division from the teams to the places 9 to 14 and the loser of the relegation. The first division was renamed the Elite series, while the first division was established as a new second division.
