1984–85 DFB-Pokal
DFB Cup winner in 1985 was Bayer 05 Uerdingen. As alleged outsider they beat in the final to defending champion and new German champions Bayern Munich. This season the final will be held each year at the Olympiastadion Berlin.
In the subsequent European Cup Winners' Cup Uerdinger secreted only from the semi-final against the Spanish Cup winners Atletico Madrid. In the quarterfinals, they could turn the East German Cup Winners SG Dynamo Dresden at the wonders of the Grotenburg.
