1984 Copa Libertadores
The Copa Libertadores 1984 was the 25th edition of the most important South American football competition for club teams. 21 teams took part; each of the national champion of the CONMEBOL countries and the Second. The field was completed by defending champion Gremio. The tournament began on 11 February and ended on 27 July 1984 with the final second leg. The Argentine representative CA Independiente won the final against Grêmio Porto Alegre and built with his seventh overall title from his record.
