1985–86 IHL season

The 1985/86 season was the 41st regular season of the International Hockey League. During the regular season, the ten teams denied each of 82 games. In the play-offs, the Muskegon Lumberjacks prevailed and won the first Turner Cup in their history.

Team changes

The following changes were made before the start of the season:

  • The Flint Generals were to Saginaw, Michigan, moved and changed their name to Saginaw General.
  • The Flint Spirits were added as an expansion team in the league.
