1985–86 UEFA Cup
The UEFA Cup 1985/86 was the 15th edition of the competition and was won by Real Madrid to two final games against Bundesliga 1 FC Cologne representatives.
Mode
The competition was held in six rounds, in home and away matches. In Torgleichstand an extension decided the number of away goals scored, then finally only the penalty shootout. Clubs from England were excluded after the disaster of Heysel indefinitely from participation.

The 1st FC Cologne was allowed because of previous Zuschauerauschreitungen ( in Waregem ) the final home game does not deliver in the domestic Mungerdorferstadion and swerved to Berlin.
