1986–87 Eliteserien (Denmark) season

The 1986/87 season was the second season of the Elite series, the highest Danish Hockey League. Champion for the third time in club history the Herning IK. The Vojens IK got down to the second division.

Mode

In the main round each of the seven teams completed a total of 24 games. The top four teams qualified for the final round, in which the Master was played. The last placed dismounted in the second division. For a win, each team was given two points, a draw there was a point and a defeat.
