1986–87 Nationale 1A season

The 1986/87 season was the 65th season of the National 1A, the highest French Hockey League. Champion for the first time in club history in general of the Mont- Blanc HC. Viry- Chatillon Essonne Hockey rose from the second division.

Mode

The ten teams completed in the main round each of 36 games. The winner of the main round was champion. The last placed dismounted in the second division. For a win, each team was given two points, a draw there was a point and a defeat.
