1987–88 1.Lig

First and thus Turkish champions in the 1987/88 season was the first Lig Galatasaray Istanbul. It was the eighth title for Galatasaray.

This season, only four teams were relegated to the second league, because in the coming Playing time the championship was to be again discharged with 19 teams. In addition, the three - point rule was introduced ( three points for a win ).
