1987–88 DDR-Oberliga (ice hockey) season
The East German Ice Hockey Championship 1987/88 this year went smoothly with two derived series of the old and new titleholder from the SC Dynamo Berlin.
In the GDR best determination benefited last year's B- group winner, BSG Einheit White Water, from the indecisive battle of the supposed tournament favorites from Berlin and Crimmitschau and secured in the same year debut the title.
