1987–88 FA Cup

The FA Cup 1987/88 was the 107th edition of the world's oldest football cup tournament; The Football Association Challenge Cup, or FA Cup shortly. The cup competition ended with the final at Wembley on 14 May 1988. The winner of this discharge was the Wimbledon FC.

The FA Cup is played in rounds. Can participate, each team that has a given level of performance and has an adequate pitch. The game is played i.d.R. with only one leg. When draw a second leg takes place. Still has not decision are stated more replays; until a winning team is determined. Each winner receives a premium from the television money, which is graded according round.

Main Round

First Main Round

The matches were played on the weekend of November 14, 1987. With one exception; the game Welling United v Carshalton Athletic was played on November 23. The replays were held on 16 and 17 November.

Second Main Round

The matches were played on 5 and 6 December 1987. The replays were held to 18th of the month on the 9th.

Third main round

The games were completed on the weekend of the 9th January 1988. Necessary repetition games were scheduled for January 12 to 27.

Fourth Main Round

The games were held until February 1, 1988 on January 30. The replays required were held on 3 and 9 February.

Fifth Main Round

The meetings were held on 20 and 21 February 1988. The four replays followed on 23 and 24 February.

Sixth Main Round

The games were held on 12 and 13 March 1988.

Semifinal

The matches were played on April 9, 1988. The first semi-final between Luton Town and Wimbledon was awarded to White Hart Lane in London. The match between Liverpool and Nottingham took place at Hillsborough Stadium in Sheffield.
