1987–88 Serie A (ice hockey) season

The 1987/88 season was the 54th season of the series A1, the highest Italian Hockey League. Master became the total tenth time in the club's history of HC Bolzano. The SV Ritten descended to the second division.

Mode

In the main round each of the ten teams played a total of 36 games. The top eight teams qualified for the playoffs, where the Master was played. The-table rose directly from the second division. For a win, each team was given two points, a draw there was a point and a defeat.
