1987 Copa Libertadores
The Copa Libertadores 1987 was the 28th edition of the most important South American football competition for club teams. 21 teams took part. It took the national champions of CONMEBOL countries and the second part respectively. The participants completed titleholder CA River Plate. The tournament began on 6 March and ended on 31 October 1987 with the final decider. The Uruguayan representative CA Peñarol won the final against América de Cali and won for the fifth time in the Copa Libertadores.
