1987 European Competition for Women's Football qualification

The qualification for the European Football Championship Women 1987 was held in the period from 26 September 1984 to 12 October 1986.

Mode

Again took 16 teams participated in the qualification. Again, the teams were divided into four groups of four teams each, being omitted except for the British teams on a geographical division. Within the groups, each team plays twice against each other. The group winners qualify for the inaugural round of the finals in Norway.

Iceland and Portugal did not participate this time, Spain and Hungary for the first time in the qualifying part.
