1987 Norwegian First Division

The first Divisjon 1987 was the 43rd season of the highest Norwegian Football League and the 25th season under the name 1 Divisjon. The regular season began on 2 May 1987 and ended on 10 October 1987.

Mode

The twelve teams played in a simple game with round return match against each other so that each team completed 22 games. Master was the Leading after the last matchday. The last two teams had to dismount. The third last had in a relegation round against the two Second 2nd Divisjon (Group A and B).

New and only for this season, a new scoring system was introduced. The winner after regular time had three points. Season

Moss FK was the first time Norwegian champion.
