1987 World Series
The World Series 1987 was the 84th edition of the Finals of the Major League Baseball. The master of the American League, the Minnesota Twins defeated the champion of the National League, the St. Louis Cardinals, 4-3 games. The best-of- seven series started on 17 October and ended on 25 October 1987, went the full number of games.
For the first time in the history of the World Series could all seven games are won by the respective home team. This constellation was again in the years 1991 and 2001.
As MVP Series Minnesota pitcher Frank Viola was excellent.
