Course of the season

Cup decision

Movers B36 Tórshavn was the first ten games unbeaten and conveniences to the third round at the top. Only through a 0-3 away defeat at KÍ Klaksvík had the place with HB Torshavn to be replaced, in turn, after two defeats in the first three games with a 5-1 over tightened against GÍ Gøta and from the third to the 13th Round no defeat conceded. On 14 Round HB away lost 0-1 at B68 Toftir, which thus climbed to third place. However, the projection of HB B36 remained at three points, since B36 lost 0-1 at home against NSÍ Runavík. On 16 Round HB again lost away 1:3 against KÍ Klaksvík and came next on the match a 1-1 in the away game against ÍF Fuglafjørður addition, whereby now B68 Toftir drew near to a point. The decision for the championship thus fell only on the final day on which HB was able to win their home match 4-1 against TB Tvøroyri, wherein after a 1-1 draw for TB by Birgir Dimon 23 minutes into the Uni Arge through his matches 2-1 HB brought on the road to victory. Thus, the 4-0 home victory against B36 Tórshavn B68 Toftir did not help.

Relegation battle

First bottom club were NSÍ Runavík and KI Klaksvik who lost their games with 1:4 against HB Tórshavn or GÍ Gøta on the opening day. While NSI could win by two victories against TB Tvøroyri and ÍF Fuglafjørður ground and climbed to fourth place, AI remained despite a 3-2 victory against VB Vágur to the relegation zone and finished this consistently up to and including the 15th game day. The reigning champion TB Tvøroyri also started badly in the season and also won until the third round with a 1-0 win over GÍ Gøta first time in the season. However, it was followed by nine games in a row without another victory, which led to the last place to crash. NSÍ also succeeded no further victory between the fourth and twelfth game day. The battle to avoid relegation was exciting nonetheless to the end, on the last day the decision should fall between five teams, four of which were tied. The worst starting position had KÍ Klaksvík one point behind. However, this won the direct duel against second-bottom NSÍ Runavík 2-1. The winning goal scored Absalon Østerø in the 50th minute. LIF Leirvík secured by a 3-1 win against GÍ Gøta also in the league, with the gates by Kristian á Reynatrøð and Kurt Mørkøre fell to 2-1 and 3-1 only in the 80th and 90th minute. VB Vágur also escaped with a 2-1 home win against ÍF Fuglafjørður. Unfortunately for TB was Tvøroyri that what had in turn lost with 1:4 in the new master HB Tórshavn and thus still fell from seventh to ninth place direct destitution.
