1988 Davis Cup

The 1988 Davis Cup was the 77th edition of the competition organized by the ITF for men's national teams in tennis. The discharged between December 16 to 18 final in Gothenburg won the Federal Republic of Germany with 4-1 win over Sweden. If Germany is the Davis Cup for the first time secured. Throughout the tournament, the German team lost only one singles match Stefan Edberg won his at the time already meaningless second singles match against Carl -Uwe Steeb.
