1988 NHL Entry Draft

The NHL Entry Draft in 1988, the annual talent contraction of the National Hockey League, took place on 11 June 1988 at the Montreal Forum in Montreal, Canada, in the province of Quebec held after Detroit was the first time been the venue last year.

A total of 252 players were taken in twelve rounds. Among the first selected ten of the draft five players developed above-average players and only the Quebec Nordiques selected at the fifth position weak. Between the 11th and the 66th vote only Tie Domi had been elected, who can look back on a good NHL career. Tony Amonte and Rob Blake were then in the fourth round in four picks Mark Recchi drawn. A little later two more good players were chosen with Joé Juneau and Alexander Mogilny.
