1988 Summer Paralympics

The 8th Summer Paralympics were held from October 15 to October 24, 1988 in the South Korean capital Seoul instead. Since these games the Summer Paralympics will again be played in the Summer Olympics in the same place.

Opening Ceremony

The opening ceremony took place on October 15th at the Seoul Olympic Stadium. With a record of 3,053 athletes from 61 countries, the parade started at the stadium. Were opened, the 8th Summer Paralympics by the then President of South Korea, Roh Tae -woo.
