1989–90 1. Slovenská národná hokejová liga season

The 1989/90 season the first Slovenská Národná hokejová league (short 1 SNHL; German: 1 Slovak National Hockey League ) was the 21st staging of the split second hockey game class Czechoslovakia. Master League has been the Slovan Bratislava ChZJD, who participated along with the runner- Plastika Nitra qualifying first league. That ultimately were two climbers in the first league, Slávia EKONOM Bratislava remained as Table 1 in the SNHL. Promoted from the third-rate second SNHL were ZŤS Martin and Sparta Považska Bystrica.

Mode

The game mode saw two double rounds of 22 games per team before, ie two home and away matches against all other participants. The total number of matches per team was thus in the season 44 games. Subsequently, the table first and second for the 1st League qualifier qualified. The descent mode was influenced by the increase in the first league on 14 participants, as this could rise up to two teams.

Slovan Bratislava ChZJD and Plastika Nitra took part in qualifying 1st League and acquired during this six respectively five wins promotion to the first division. To obtain the number of participants, were accordingly promoted to the first SNHL two teams from the second SNHL.
