1989–90 European Cup

The European Champions Cup in 1989/90 was the 35th edition of the competition. 32 club teams participated, including 31 national champions from the previous season and with AC Milan, the defending champion. Endspielort was on 23 May 1990, the Prater Stadium in Vienna.

The participants played in the Cup mode with pure (except for the final) round-trip games for the crown of European club football. In Torgleichstand first counted the greater number of away goals scored; there was also this a tie, the second leg was extended and possibly played a penalty shootout to decide.

First round

The first legs took place on 27 September 1989 on the 13th, the return games.

2nd round

The first legs took place on November 1, 1989 October 18, the return games.

Quarterfinals

The first legs took place on 21 March 1990 on the 7th, the return games.

Semifinal

The first legs took place on April 18, 1990 on the 4th, the return games.
