1989–90 ice hockey Bundesliga season
The 1989/90 season of hockey Bundesliga season was the 32nd and last season, took part in the exclusively West German teams. The Düsseldorf EC celebrated a 15- year hiatus, their fourth German championship. After the DEG was drafted in the first phase into the play- off final, the defending SB Rosenheim could be defeated there.

Compared to previous years, the mode with a double round and subsequent championship play-offs the best eight teams, while the two last placed athlete had to compete in a relegation round against the best teams in the 2nd Bundesliga, being held.
