1989–90 Nationale 1A season

The 1989/90 season was the 68th season of the National 1A, the highest French Hockey League. Masters were for the first time in club history at all the Dragons de Rouen. The Ours de Villard -de- Lans and the Hockey Club de Caen descended to the second division.

Mode

The ten teams completed in the main round each of 36 games. The top four teams qualified for the playoffs, where the Master was played. The two last placed the main round up from the second division. For a win, each team was given two points, a draw there was a point and a defeat.
