1989–90 Polska Liga Hokejowa season
The 1989/90 season was the 55th season of the Polish Hockey League, the highest Polish Ice Hockey league. Champion for a fifth time in club history Polonia Bytom. Stoczniowiec Gdańsk relegated to the second league.

Mode
First, the ten teams spent a common main round. The top six teams qualified for the final round, the participants all qualified for the playoffs, where the Master was played. The remaining four teams contested a qualifying round, the top two teams also qualified for the playoffs. The two last placed the qualifying round then clashed in the relegation. The results from the main round were incorporated into the final or qualifying round. For a win, each team was given two points, a draw there was a point and a defeat.
