The Fotbollsallsvenskan 1989 was the 65th season in the highest Swedish football league Fotbollsallsvenskan. Between 1 April and 8 October 1989, the regular season was played, followed by the Swedish championship was played until November 15 in a final round.

IFK Norrköping was able to prevail in the finals against last year's champion Malmo FF, although in the egulären game time, only the second place behind the competitors had been occupied.
