1990–91 Serie A (ice hockey) season

The season 1990/91 was the 57th season of the series A1, the highest Italian Hockey League. Master was the HC Milan Saima. SG Cortina got down to the second division.

Mode

In the main round each of the ten teams played a total of 36 games. The top six teams qualified for the final round, in which the Master was played. According to their main round placement, the teams were given bonus points for the final round. The remaining four teams had to compete for the league in a relegation round. For this, the teams were given half of their main round points as a bonus. The last placed the relegation round rose directly from the second division. For a win, each team was given two points, a draw there was a point and a defeat.
