1990 Estoril Open

The Estoril Open 1990 took place from 2 to 8 April 1990 and were the first edition of the tennis clay court tournament in Oeiras Portugal. The tournament was one of the World Series, and was part of the ATP Tour. The tournament was played in men's singles and men's doubles. In individual occurred at 32 players, 16 players in double pairs.

In the first Estoril Open eight players were set, of which only four were on the first round also. The seeded No. 1 American Jay Berger failed in the quarterfinals. The final contest of the seeded No. 3 Spaniard Emilio Sanchez and unseeded Argentine Franco Davin. Sánchez was able to prevail in two sets 6:3 and 6:1.

In doubles, four pairings were set. The dual to the Spaniard Emilio Sanchez and Sergio Casal was set at No. 1 and played the final against the unseeded Italian Omar Camporese and Paolo Canè. Sánchez Casal and sat down in three sets 7:5, 4:6 and 7:5 by. For Emilio Sánchez was after winning the individual competition of the second title in the tournament.
