2nd round
Play off
The play-offs were played in the " Best of Three". The decisive game was held in Dusseldorf.
Again, the descent was, however, decided " green table " on, because once again retreated to the SB Rosenheim a team for financial reasons from the league. The three-time German champion and reigning vice-champion had a falling out with his main sponsor, who then withdrew his promised monies. Again, the ES White water had prevailed in the 2nd round of the play- downs and thus again qualified for the play-offs. The withdrawal of Rosenheim had the consequence that the Lusatian had kept the class before the end of the Releagtionsserie against the EC Ratingen. After white water license was revoked by the DEB for financial reasons, could the losers of the play- downs, the EV Landshut, remain in the class. Direct Movers was the EHC Dynamo Berlin, who won the championship of the 2nd Bundesliga and thus returned to the excellence after only one year break.
Play-offs
All play-off rounds were played in the mode " Best of Five".
