1991–92 Slovenian Hockey League season
The 1991/92 season was the first edition of the Slovenian Hockey League after the declaration of independence of Slovenia from Yugoslavia. She was discharged with eight teams. First champion was the HK Jesenice.
Participants and mode
Among the eight participating teams two were operated as second teams of the favored clubs from Jesenice and Ljubljana. Since before the national championship was held the first season of the Alps league that season was shortened. In the ground through a simple round-trip round was held. The four best teams played in an intermediate round of the placement for the playoffs. The series for third place was held in the mode best of five, the final in the Best of Seven mode.
Regular season
The regular season was dominated by HK Jesenice and HDD Olimpija Ljubljana. Only the HK Bled could compete with the two teams approximate. Without victory, however, remained the HK Slavija Ljubljana, who scored only nine goals in fourteen games and in the end with a goal difference of -297 knocked landed in last place.

Final
The final series between the two clubs favored was extremely scarce. Jesenice could after opening win the Ljubljana pull away in the series up to 3-1, Laibach but finally managed still sovereign balance. Before the last game, the Ljubljana had been confident of victory a sticker bearing the words Olimpija Ljubljana - Slovenia's first master can mount on the trophy. In the game, however, Jesenice prevailed and so much won the title. The sticker was finally removed by the doctor Jesenices and is still kept as a souvenir of the historic victory.
