The Divizia A 1992/93 was the 55th season in the history of Romanian football league Divizia A. It began on August 16, 1992 and ended on 20 June 1993. Between mid- December to mid-March rested the game operation ( winter break ). Champion Steaua Bucharest.

The Divizia A played with 18 teams. This season, unlike last year rose only the two last- placed teams from the Divizia B. For a victory, there were two points for a draw and one point for a loss no points.

1 FC Ploiesti changed his name to Petrolul Ploieşti.
2 FC Bacau changed its name to FC Selena Bacau.
