1992–93 Eliteserien season
The 1992/93 season was the 54th season of the Elite series, the highest Norwegian ice hockey league. Champion for the 18th time overall in club Vålerenga Ishockey. The Trondheim IK and Hasle- Løren Idrettslag descended to the second division.

Mode
In the Grunnserien each of the ten teams played a total of 18 games. The top eight teams qualified for the Elite series, while the two last placed descended to the second division. The top six teams in the Elite series qualified for the play-off second round, where the Master was played. The four winners of Grunnserien received between one and four bonus points for the Elite series. The playoffs were first played in two groups of three teams. The top two teams in each group qualified for the play-off semi-finals. For a win, each team was given two points, a draw there was a point and a defeat.
