1992–93 Football League Cup
The League Cup 1992/93 was the 33rd edition of the existing since 1960 English League Cup.
The competition started on 18 August 1992 with the First Round and ended on 18 April 1993 the final in Wembley. The title went to Arsenal FC by 2-1 in the final over Sheffield Wednesday. Arsenal won the League Cup for the second time since 1987 ( 2-1 against Liverpool ) and increased this success almost a month later by winning the FA Cup 1992 /93. The defeated opponent in the final was again Sheffield Wednesday. Arsenal won so the first team in a year both English cup competitions.
