1992 IIHF Women's World Championship

The Ice Hockey World Championships for women were held in 1992 for the second time. The World Cup tournament took place from 20 to 26 April in Tampere in Finland. The Championship was held again with eight teams; eligible were next host and European champions Finland, the other four best teams in the Hockey Championship 1991 ( Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Switzerland ), defending champion Canada, the U.S. and China as the representative of the Far East. Canada won its second World Cup.
