1993–94 Czech 1. Liga season

The season 1993/94 was the first regular hosting of the first league, the second Czech hockey league. In the playoffs, the HC Zbrojovka Vsetín and HC Slavia Prague prevailed that qualified both for the Extra Liga relegation, while the HC Přerov descent into second league.

Mode

In the main round each of the 14 teams completed a total of 40 games. The top four teams qualified directly for the second playoff round, while the teams of five to twelve got in on the places in the first round in the playoffs. The two last placed athlete had to compete against each other for the league. For a win, each team was given two points, a draw there was a point. For one defeat after regulation time gave no points.

In the first relegation round, the two winners of the respective 2nd League squadrons met at gegeinander. The winner of the best-of -three series went straight on into the first league, while the losers against the winners of the relegation round also took in a best - of-three series to relegation and promotion.
