1993–94 Eliteserien season

The 1993/94 season was the 55th season of the Elite series, the highest Norwegian ice hockey league. Champion for the first time in club history at all of Lillehammer IK. Furuset IF Frisk Asker and descended to the second division.

Mode

In the Grunnserien each of the ten teams played a total of 18 games. The top eight teams qualified for the Elite series, while the two last placed descended to the second division. The top six teams in the Elite series qualified for the play-off second round, where the Master was played. The four winners of Grunnserien received between one and four bonus points for the Elite series. The two last placed the Elite Series had to compete against the top two teams of the second division in the relegation. The playoffs were first played in two groups of three teams. The top two teams in each group qualified for the play-off semi-finals. For a win, each team was given two points, a draw there was a point and a defeat.
