1993–94 French Division 1

The 1993/94 season was the 56th season of the French Division 1 began the season on 23 July 1993 with the opening match between FC Nantes and AS Monaco ( 1-0). As a newly promoted FC Martigues, SCO Angers and AS Cannes came from Division 2 to do so. The season as champion finished Paris SG, who was able to repeat his victory from last year. Qualifying for the UEFA Champions League managed to Paris ( qualification). For the UEFA Cup Olympique Marseille, Bordeaux, Nantes FC and AS Cannes qualified. About the Coupe de France, AJ Auxerre secured the participation in the European Cup Winners' Cup the following year. Relegated to the Division 2 had the FC Toulouse, Angers SCO and, as a result of the scandal of bribery in 1993, Olympique Marseille.
