1993–94 French Division 2

The 1993/94 season was the 55th staging of the French football Division 2 As of this season, these were back to a single-track league exclusively with professional teams, as it is already 1933 to 1970 - interrupted only by the war and occupation years - was the case.   • Five from the south-east ( the renamed USJOA Valence, Olympique Alès, Nîmes Olympique relegated, FC Istres Ville Nouvelle, OGC Nice)
  • One from Corsica (SC Bastia)

Direct climb right now were the top three clubs, while the four last, also without Barrages, were replaced by a corresponding number of non- league climbers.

Course of the season and Table

Each team wore against each group opponent a back and a leg off, even before a home crowd and once away. It was the two- point rule; case of a tie, the goal difference was the decisive factor for the placement.
