1993 Citizen Cup
The Citizen Cup was a WTA hard court tennis tournament for women in Hamburg in 1993. It was a tournament of the Tier II category of the WTA Tour in 1993. The tournament was held from April 26 to May 2, 1993.
In individual Arantxa Sanchez Vicario won against Steffi Graf 6-3 and 6-3. In doubles, the pair Steffi Graf / Rennae Stubbs won with 6:4 and 7:6 against Larisa Neiland / Jana Novotná.

Incident
On April 30, 1993 Monica Seles was stabbed during their quarter-final match against the Bulgarian Magdalena Maleewa of the mentally disturbed Günter Parche, a German fan of her strongest counterparty to Steffi Graf at the change in the back.
