1993 UEFA European Under-16 Championship
The 11 U-16 Football Championship was held in the period from 26 April to 8 May 1993 in Turkey. It was the first UEFA tournament in Turkey. The winner was Poland with a 1-0 victory over Italy. Defending champions Germany could not qualify. First quarter final was played.
Mode
The 16 qualified teams were divided into four groups of four teams each. Within the groups played each team once against each other. The group winners and runners reached the quarter- finals. From there it went on in the all-in - system.
