The 113th U.S. Open 1993 an international tennis tournament and took place from 30 August to 12 September 1993 at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing Meadows Park in New York, USA.

Defender of the single were Stefan Edberg in the men's and Monica Seles in the women. In the men's doubles were Jim Grabb and Richey Reneberg, in women's doubles Gigi Fernández and Natallja Swerawa and in mixed Nicole Provis and Mark Woodforde the defending champions. However, the titles could be in any one competition defended. Stefan Edberg had already failed in round two and Monica Seles could not participate in the tournament after an assassination had been committed to them in the course of the year.

In the men's singles of the American Pete Sampras defeated the Frenchman Cédric Pioline. It was his second triumph at the U.S. Open and his third of total fourteen Grand Slam titles. At the same time he pushed again the American Jim Courier from the top of world rankings.

In the women's German Steffi Graf defeated the Czech Helena Suková. It was Graf's third triumph at the U.S. Open and her 15th Grand Slam title overall.
