Course of the season

Cup decision

GÍ Gøta sat down at the start by two wins to the top. After 0:1 in HB Tórshavn on Matchday B71 Sandur took over by a 0-0 draw at B68 Toftir the lead, but they had been on leave on game by a 1-2 home defeat against HB Tórshavn again. New leader after three wins and a draw was B36 Tórshavn, but it was again the HB local rivals, who rushed by a 3-1 win on Matchday the league leaders. These were now level on points with GÍ Gøta on and only on goal difference in second place. On the ninth Round HB was the first time at number one after GÍ at home with 0:3 lost against KÍ Klaksvík, but the next Round, things changed again. HB came home did not have a 0-0 B68 Toftir addition, so that B71 Sandur climbed the peak. Due to the 2:3 away defeat against TB Tvøroyri HB stood at the eleventh Gameday return to the top, the duel against immediate rivals GÍ Gøta was, however, lost the next game day 1:4 on the opponent's court, so now GÍ again the first place held. The next five games were also won, HB did them but the same. So the decision was made for the championship until the final day. GÍ Gøta still needed due to the much better goal difference a point to secure the title and got it with a 1-1 draw at KÍ Klaksvík, so the 2-0 defeat of HB Tórshavn TB Tvøroyri nothing could change that. The compensation for GÍ but was only achieved in the 89th minute by Henning Jarnskor after Aksel Johannesen opened the scoring in the 51st minute for KÍ. HB shot while in the first half both goals.

Relegation battle

EB / Streymur already slipped on the third match day in the relegation zone, in the first three games, only one point was gained. The next games were not successful, up to and including the 14th game day jumped out only two more draws. With the 0-3 defeat against HB Tórshavn, the descent was thus sealed. It was not until the penultimate round was started at the 2-1 NSÍ Runavík first time a victory.

For a long time was also TB Tvøroyri in Table cellar. Although the first win was at the third round with a 4-1 win against EB / Streymur, but succeeded by a series of defeats no real liberation. Only after the 3-2 win at home against B71 Sandur on the eleventh Gameday TB left the relegation zone and climbed to seventh. By the end of the season the team commuted then between the seventh and eighth place.

ÍF Fuglafjørður started with a 4-2 home win against EB / Streymur in the season and held second place with the best season of placement held. In the next few games followed by adult services. Individual victories were still achieved in the sum but was offset by more defeats, so ÍF was passed up to eight games up to eighth place. On the eleventh Round was briefly still, seventh place is occupied but by two more defeats, the team fell to ninth place. By the end of the season, no other victory more should succeed, so that after the 17th matchday of the descent, it was clear as the game at GÍ Gøta was lost with 0:8 and the residue to eighth place thus could not be made up.
