1994–95 Scottish Cup
The Scottish FA Cup was in 1994/95 played the 110th time. The most important Scottish football cup competition, which was led by the Scottish Football Association, began on 17 December 1994 and ended with the final on 27 May 1995 at Glasgow's Hampden Park. Defending Dundee United, who was able to put in last year's final against Glasgow Rangers, was eliminated in the second round this year against Heart of Midlothian in the competition. With a 1-0 win over second division Airdrieonians FC Celtic FC celebrated the 30th overall title of the club history after the last Cup victory in 1989. For the Airdrieonians FC it was in the fourth finals, the third consecutive defeat as a result. The first and only Cup victory could be won in 1924. In 2002, the club went bankrupt and was dissolved. By the Cup victory, the Bhoys could qualify in Green at the same time for the European Cup Winners' Cup season 1995/96. There, the team against the French club Paris Saint- Germain was eliminated.
