1995–96 IHL season
The 1995/96 season was the 51th regular season of the International Hockey League. During the regular season, 19 teams contest each 82 games. In the play-offs, the Utah Grizzlies prevailed and won the second Turner Cup in their history.

Team changes
The following changes were made before the start of the season:
- The Orlando Solar Bears were added as an expansion team in the league.
- The San Francisco Spiders were added as an expansion team in the league.
- The Denver Grizzlies have been to Salt Lake City, Utah, moved and changed their name to Utah Grizzlies.
- The San Diego Gulls have been to Los Angeles, California, moved and changed their name to Los Angeles Ice Dogs.
- The Kalamazoo Wings changed their name to Michigan K- Wings.
