1995 Men's European Volleyball Championship
The Volleyball European Championship Men 1995 was held from September 8 to 16 in Greece instead. The Games were held in Athens and Patras. Italy defended the title.
Mode
First, a preliminary round was held, in which the twelve teams were divided into two groups of six. The top two teams in each group reached the semi-finals. The third-placed and fourth played for places five to eight.

Qualification
Greece was set as host. The top seven teams in the European championship in 1993 were also automatically qualified. These were Italy as the defending champion, the Netherlands Second, the Third Russia, Germany Fourth, the Fifth Bulgaria, the Ukraine and the Sixth Seventh Poland.
19 teams played in four more places. Slovakia and Hungary joined in return game against each other. Slovakia continued with two 3-0 victories in Marcali and Bratislava by reaching the second qualifying round. There were 17 teams three of four and a group of five, in the home and away teams each competed against each other. The group winners qualify for the finals.
